the second in a line of peer review - Mariah

Mariah-
There is no doubt in my head, girl, that you like to write. I think the first thing that came to my head when reading your first blog post, was that you don’t really sound like yourself. I feel like you got into a professor zone and lost yourself, it’s so much easier writing with voice, my love! I did, however, enjoy your frequent use of quotes, it kept me plugged in to both your post, and the article. I also enjoyed how you got into great depth with the diction of the article. I liked how you showed why the word hugging makes us uncomfortable in the article, with the diction and syntax, it no longer feels warm and fuzzy, it feels over heated, sweaty, and gross. The last thing I would like to touch on, would be how you showed your feelings in the post. It helped me, as the second- hand reader get a better grasp on how it made others feel.
Okay, I would just like to say, I loved how you put the question in the beginning of the post, I did not do this, and going back and reading posts from people who also didn’t add the question, well, it makes it a lot harder to read and understand. Anyway, I don’t know if the writers were mentioned with letters, rather than numbers (in that case, I think that is really confusing.) But if you, for some reason, decided to call these people by letters, I would advise against that, just because it ends up being confusing. I also liked how you showed how the essays progressed through the paragraphs. We can all understand a good essay, we can also understand  a bad essay, but a good one that slowly goes bad? That’s interesting, and it’s something that we want to hear about.

Being blessed to be in the same class as you, I really understand where you are coming form on this latest post. I like how you added the fact that you still haven’t uncovered all of what Albee means. I think it’s also helpful that you pointed out the existentialism in the play, and how the play is absurdist. I also loved how you picked sides between the articles, I think that it’s interesting that you did so, but thinking back now, they were a bit different. I’m glad that you wrote about where we were in the discussion process in class, I would also like more time in class, because I have so many questioned left as well. The last part that I want to discuss with you, is the questions that you had at the end. I can in no way answer all of them, but I can try to answer the ones that I might have some clue on.  Since we have discussed you first question in class since you wrote this post I won’t get that one, but the second question can be answered. The bumble’s death was directly caused by the torture, so there is no doubt in my mind that all of what grandma said was true, and that they did slowly take parts away (I think it died in the part where grandma said it was a gutless thing. Meaning that they took its guts out. Ew.)
